Hiro
is a Japanese engine who was brought to Sodor many years ago. He was
once the strongest, fastest engine on the island, but over time fell
into disrepair. Once discovered, Thomas befriends him and vows to
repair him and soon becomes a great addition to Thomas and his friends.

is a show-off who rides roughly and is often derailed. He is reckless
and a hazard to the other engines, so he was turned into a generator

intimidating, Hank always means well, and is a very good friend to the

Whiff is a cheery, little

warhorse engine of the Narrow Gauge railway. A handsome engine with a
big, brass dome, he was in his youth the daredevil of the hills.

Billy is a bright orange tank
engine who's boisterous, bubbly and bursting with enthusiasm, but he's
not good at waiting for instructions. But, like the other friends on
Sodor, Billy has a unique job to do.

Rosie is a feisty, fun and
very free spirited tomboy tank engine who idolizes Thomas, copying his
every action and mood. This drives Thomas crazy, as he just wants to
be left alone to be Really Useful. But why, thinks Rosie, can't they

Mighty Mac is the most
unusual engine on the Island of Sodor. In fact, he is two in engines
in one! When Mighty and Mac work together, they are the strongest
