Choo Choo Track & Toy Co.

All of our track has a lifetime guarantee against breakage.  Our tables, drawers and track accessories have a one-year warranty against manufacturer's defects.

Whittle Shortline Railroad

The Whittle Shortline Railroad engines and cars are guaranteed for 30 days from date of purchase under normal and intended use and service against defective workmanship and material. 

Learning Curve (Thomas products)

Learning Curve products are guaranteed for 90 days from date of purchase under normal and intended use and service against defective workmanship and material. If their product fails to meet their limited warranty during the warranty period, they will, at their option, replace the product free of charge, or provide you with a replacement of comparable value.

This guarantee is void if the product has been damaged by accident or unreasonable use, immersion in water (except for products specifically intended for water use), neglect, battery leakage or improper installation, improper service or causes not arising out of defects in materials and workmanship.

Shipping charges are for the 48 Contiguous Continental United States only.  Sorry, we do not ship outside of this area nor do we ship to  APO / FPO addresses.

We are located in the St. Louis, MO, area.  If you are local to us, you may call your order in for a pick-up to avoid shipping charges.

Most orders will be shipped by USPS Priority mail.  Larger orders may be shipped by FedEx Ground.  Train tables, drawers, and Create~A~Case are shipped by FedEx Ground.  

We try our best to process most orders in 2-3 days, however, please allow an extra week for shipment of tables, drawers, and Create~A~Case.  Processing times and delivery dates for shipments are not guaranteed.

 

SHIPPING DAMAGE

All orders MUST be inspected IMMEDIATELY for any damage.  Customer MUST report any shipping damage to Choo Choo Track and Toy Co. within 10 days of receiving package.  Retain all packing materials!

NO EXCEPTIONS!

Upon receipt of your item(s) you have 10 days to report any damage due to shipping.  If shipped FEDEX Ground, you must have the tracking number and retain all original packaging and shipping materials.  In the event an item is damaged in shipment, Choo Choo Track and Toy Co. will work with the shipper to facilitate the pickup of the damaged item for inspection and the shipment of replacement item(s). To receive a refund the recipient must abide by all of the shipping companies' requirements regarding the return of a damaged item.  The damaged item must be repackaged (by the customer) and picked up by the shipper before a replacement will be sent.  Free replacements or reimbursements will not be made if reported after 10 days. There are no exceptions to this policy.   If the original shipment was sent via Standard Ground delivery all replacements will also be sent via Standard Ground delivery.  Damage claims that are denied by the shipping company are handled on a case by case basis but may result in a reduced refund.

Ordering from the Choo Choo Track and Toy Co. website is very safe and secure.  Our shopping cart and credit card processing is secured by Verisign.

We accept MasterCard, Visa and Discover Cards.  Your credit card will not be processed until we have checked your order and are ready to ship.  We will e-mail you when your order has been shipped.  Be assured we will not give out any information on our customers!  We hate spam and junk mail as much as you do!!

EXCHANGES
We do not accept exchanges.  If you have an item that you would like to return it is subject to our standard return policy.  If you would like an item in place of the item you have returned, you must place a new order.  Since we are primarily an internet retailer and are charged for every shipment we make, we must strictly enforce this policy.

CONFIRMATION  E-MAILS
The most common reason that a customer does not receive a confirmation e-mail after placing an order is that the e-mail address provided by the customer during the checkout process is not valid.  

If you use anti-spam software and expect to receive e-mails from ChooChooTrack.Com please make sure that will not be blocked prior to placing an order.

 

RETURNS
We accept returns within 30 days from the date of delivery, however, we do not accept exchanges. 

All items must be new, unopened, never assembled and still in original packaging. 

Refunds are subject to a 5% restocking fee up to a maximum of $15 plus any shipping and handling costs that we have incurred.  This restocking fee covers the credit card processing fee and the restocking of product.  If a returned item is missing parts, documentation or shows signs of use there will be a minimum of a 35% restocking fee applied.  There are no exceptions to any part of this policy.

If your original purchase qualified for FREE shipping and you choose to return any part or all of the order, you will be still responsible to pay for any shipping and handling costs that we have already incurred to ship the product(s) to you.  If you paid for shipping with your order, the shipping amount is not refundable.  You are responsible for making all shipping arrangements for items that you have chosen to return.  We recommend that any returns you send to us be fully-insured and via a carrier that provides tracking information.  In the event that a returned package is lost or damaged during shipment back to us, Choo Choo Track & Toy Co. will not make a refund to you.  You will need to contact the shipper that you selected and file an insurance claim with them for a refund.  All refunds will be made by check to the person that made the original purchase. 

A package that is refused for delivery is the same as making a return and the customer is responsible for all shipping and handling charges already incurred by Choo Choo Track & Toy Co.  These charges apply even if the original order qualified for free shipping.

NOTE: The cost to ship many of the large items (train tables, display cases) can be significant, so please be sure the product you order is exactly what you want and the published shipping timeframes meet your needs.  Please remember ground delivery dates are not guaranteed.
