Southern Heritage Unit Engine No. 8099

This Norfolk Southern Heritage unit (Model ES44AC) is part of the fleet of locomotives that NS came out with in honor of former railroads. The real engine wrecked at the end of 2021 and we were unsure that it was going to be rebuilt. It took a while but in May of 2023 it returned to the rails and we started the countless hours of work on this paint scheme. Almost impossible to do with our production system but we found a way. You won't find a more correct graphic detailed wooden train out there. GUARANTEED! Click on the thumbnail pictures to see the different views.

This Southern wooden train engine is the first of its kind at over 6" long and made of solid Beech hardwood. Handles all sizes of curved track, fits through tunnels and under bridges, even negotiates ascending hills, unlike the competition. Crafted by hand & painted in detail, the quality of this wooden train is of the highest standards.

Round magnetic couplers are compatible with Thomas Wooden Railway, Brio, and many other wooden train systems.

Painted with child safe non toxic materials.

As expected

Another superlative GEVO from Choo Choo Track, proving they have the finest quality on the market. The details are crisp and evenly placed, and the paint is expertly applied. It runs smooth on track and it looks great.

Beautiful Design

This Southern Railway heritage GEVO is just a really beautiful locomotive in my lineup. It also works well with my other heritage GEVOs, and I really hope to see the others in the future. The Southern Railway is actually a big reason why Norfolk Southern exists. In 1982, the Southern, along with the Norfolk & Western, merged to create the Norfolk Southern railroad that we see today.
