Customers have been asking us for years to design this locomotive and tender. We finally put our nose to the sanders and did it. A functioning and realistic Big Boy wooden train that runs on wooden track. A thing of beauty and over a FOOT LONG with the tender. Each set sold comes with a "Certificate of Authenticity" to ensure it is manufactured by The Choo Choo Track & Toy Co. and not a cheap imitation.

This Big Boy wooden train Locomotive and "centipede" Tender is designed to run around the regular standard 6" curved track. Because of its length it will NOT run on the sharp 3-1/2" curved track. Nor will it run up & down the standard ascending / descending hills, but neither does the real Big Boy, so there you go. We have tested this locomotive and tender for hours on substandard wooden track and it performs very well. It performs incredibly well on the wooden track we manufacture.

Many hours, days, weeks, & months went into this design. We don't do it for the money, we do it for the love of making wooden trains that will provide endless hours of enjoyment for the kids & adults for years to come.

We have achieved a more complicated, sophisticated design that functions in a way that takes wooden trains to a whole new level of fun and creativity.

Round magnetic couplers are compatible with Thomas Wooden Railway, Brio, and many other wooden train systems.

Painted with child safe non toxic materials. For ages 5 years and up.

Wonderful!

I bought this for my adult special needs son that absolutely loves the Big Boy. He was so surprised when he got it! It definitely lives up to the name Big Boy. It is huge. Well made with a lot of detail. It is perfect. Fast shipping, too. I recommend getting on the wait list and as soon as it is back in stock, buy it! If you (or a child) loves to play with these wooden engines, you'll love it. It's a bit pricey, but it was worth it, honestly.

Perfect!

This is a well put together wooden train that is a perfect stylized depiction of the UP Big Boy. big too! A perfect addition to any Wooden Railroad collection! ^^

Great Train

This rendition of the 4014 is great. A wooden steam engine was a long time coming but worth the wait. This will be a Christmas gift for my son. I'm sure he's going to love it.

Simply Impressive!

This Train here is without a doubt the most detailed train in my collection! It is certainly longer than my other trains, and it’s called “Big Boy” for a reason! In my opinion, this locomotive was worth the wait and is DEFINITELY worth $120.
